Menopause & nutrition
Everything is connected
Your body uses the things you put in, to make the things it needs. As you travel through perimenopause into menopause, what it needs to flourish changes.
It’s essential that you nourish your body with the right fuels at this time. Studies have shown how dietary and lifestyle changes can help manage menopausal symptoms. I’ll help you discover which hormone-building and hormone-balancing foods your body is crying out for..

My approach
Applying expertise, based in science
My sessions are very relaxed as we work together to find a sustainable way forward for you. Every plan is different, but they are all about finding the right balance. A workable solution for you might revolve around how much time you have to cook, other responsibilities in your life and the foods you do or don’t like.
Even small changes can be truly transformational and help you get right back on track.

Where possible (ie allergies and intolerances allowing), the best diets are varied and feature all of the food groups. This not only ensures your eating is healthy and balanced, but it also makes your meals tasty too.
Because we work together, I will have factored in things like the foods you do or don’t like, the amount of time you have and of course any allergies or sensitivities. The idea of eating the rainbow really is true.

Absolutely. It’s a normal stage in a woman’s life. Some lucky ones just breeze through, some have mild symptoms and others have a truly miserable time. If you are in that last group, just knowing that simple changes may relieve your symptoms can bring you some hope.

The beauty of my studies means that we can work around most requirements (unfortunately I can’t work with cancer patients) and your body will reap the benefits of a nutritional therapy programme.

My knowledge and experience as a Nutritional Therapist means I’ll be able to guide you on how to eat to maintain health for the long term, with practical steps that are right for you. You don’t need another diet, you need a plan and someone to support you through it.

Science is starting to show how powerful diet and lifestyle changes can be in tackling menopause symptoms.
When you consider that every cell in our body is created from the foods we eat, it makes sense that we need to take more care with what we put in as our body’s needs change. The foods we eat influence not only how our body functions, but also how we think and feel. With my specialist knowledge, I can tap into the positive and help you limit the negative.
